Odisha Public Service Commission has postponed the exam date for the Odisha Civil Services Prelims Exam. The OCS Prelims Exam will now be held on November 25, 2018. Earlier, the exam was supposed to be conducted on October 28, 2018, but citing ‘unavoidable technical circumstances due to interruption of Odisha State Data Center VPN services’, the commission has postponed the exam date.

The Civil Services Preliminary Exam will consist of two papers of objective types and each paper shall be of 2 hours duration carrying 200 marks each. The candidate has to secure a minimum of 33% in the Paper-II of the preliminary exam so as to evaluate Paper I of the prelims exam.
Candidates who will qualify in the preliminary exam shall be called to appear in the Main Exam. Odisha Civil Services Main Exam shall comprise Odia Language, English, English Essay, General Studies – I & II papers and two optional subjects having two papers each. Each paper will be of 300 marks.
Candidates qualified in Main Exam shall be called for Personality Test which will be of 250 marks. Total marks obtained by the candidates in the written exam and personality test or interview would determine the ranking of the candidates.
