While the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is conducting Group C Examination for the posts of Assistant Loco Pilot and Technician nowadays, there are some media reports stating that the RRB Group D Exam Admit Cards can be released at the end of August. However, there is no official news released by the board regarding the exam dates.

RRB had released the notification for 62,907 vacancies of Group D posts on 9th February 2018. The Group D posts include Helper, Track Maintainer, Hospital Attendant, Assistant Pointsman, Gateman and Porter.
Earlier, the candidates were required to have 10th Pass certificate plus National Apprenticeship Certificate or 10th Pass certificate plus ITI. But, in the notification released on 1st March 2018, the Board has mentioned that the minimum educational qualification for all the Group D posts in 10th Pass OR ITI OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC).

The recruitment process includes Computer Based Test and Physical Efficiency Test. Candidates qualified in both test will be called for Document Verification.
