UPSC Recruitment – UPSC Test – Latest Job Notifications

Union Public Service Commission appoints candidates through examinations for All India Services and Group A & Group B of Central Services. UPSC carries out the task of recruitment through four modes namely, Direct Recruitment, Promotion, Deputation/ Absorption and Deputation & Promotion. Here on this page, we provide the latest UPSC Recruitment Notifications.

The UPSC is India’s authorised agency to conduct various examinations like Civil Services Examination, Engineering Services Examination, Combined Medical Services Examination, Combined Defence Services Examination, National Defence Academy Examination, Naval Academy Examination, Special Class Railway Apprentice, Indian Forest Service Examination, Indian Economic Service Examination, Indian Statistical Service Examination, Combined Geo-Scientist, and Geologist Examination, and Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandant) Examination.

UPSC Exams – Eligibility Criteria – Educational Qualification

UPSC Civil Services Exam:- Large pool of applicant appears for the toughest examination, the Indian Civil Services. This competitive exam is organised for the recruitment of the IFS, IPS and IAS. Candidates ought to clear three stages to join Civil Services i.e. preliminary examination, main examination and interview. The whole process of Civil Services Exam (from notification of the Prelims to the announcement of the final results) takes around one year. The screening test, the preliminary exam is held in the month of May-June. After the declaration of the result in July-August, the main examination is held in September – October. The final face to face interview is in the month of March-April.

UPSC CDS Exam:- For recruitment into the Indian Naval Academy, Indian Air Force Academy, Indian Military Academy and Officers Training Academy, the Combined Defence Services exam is conducted in the month of February and November. UPSC release notification in the month of June and October. However, the dates may vary.  The qualified candidates will be admitted to respective Academies after the final interview by the Services Selection Board. Graduate unmarried candidates are eligible for this examination.

UPSC IES/ ISS Exam:- To recruit officers in the Planning Board, Planning Commission, National Sample Survey, Ministry of Economic Affairs and other Allied Offices, the Indian Economic Service/ Indian Statistical Service examination is conducted in the month of June. The notification of the paper is declared in the month of March. The selection process includes Written Examination and Viva Voce.

UPSC NDA & NA Exam:- UPSC conducts the National Defence Academy & Naval Academy Exam for the recruitment of the candidates to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA. The exam is conducted twice a year. The notifications for both exams are declared in the month of January and June. The exam is conducted in the month of April and September. The notification release and examination date may vary. The NDA Selection Process is mainly divided into two phases, the first is a written examination and the second is the SSB Interview. The second phase covers the Psychological Aptitude Test and Intelligence Test.

UPSC CAPF (AC) Exam:- UPSC conducts the Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandant) Exam for the recruitment of Assistant Commandants in the Central Armed Police Forces. The notification of the exam is declared in the month of April. The exam is conducted in the month of August. The selection process includes Written Examination, Physical Standard/ Physical Efficiency Test, Medical Standard Test and Interview/ Personality Test.

UPSC CMS Exam:- The UPSC Combined Medical Services Exam is conducted for the recruitment of Medical Officer in various government organizations like Indian Railways, Indian Ordnance Factories, Central Health Services and Delhi Municipal Corporation. UPSC release exam notification in the month of May and conducts paper in July. The selection process includes an objective type computer-based examination of two hours. The shortlisted candidates have to appear for the personality test.

UPSC Engineering Service Exam:- UPSC conducts the Indian Engineering Service Exam for recruitment of engineers in the Engineering Services of the Government of India. The notification for the exam is declared in the month of September. The selection process includes the Preliminary Examination, Main Examination and Personality Test. The preliminary exam is held in the month of January. After the declaration of the result of the prelims exam, the main examination is held in June.

Application Process for UPSC Competitive Exams – Apply Online

Candidates can register for the exams through online mode. They will be required to upload a scanned photograph and signature as per the specifications given in the respective advertisement. Application fees also need to be paid online. Once the application process is done, candidates will be provided a registration number and password on their given email ids and mobile numbers.
