SCRA Exam
Special Class Railway Apprentices Examination is a national level recruitment exam conducted under the supreme authorization of the Union Public Service Commission. The test is conducted once a year for the recruitment of officials in the mechanical department of the Indian Railways. The SCRA exam will be conducted once every two years, as per the railway ministry’s new rules.

Eligibility for SCRA Examination:-
- The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
- The candidate must fall between the age limit of 17 and 21 years.
- Upper age limit relaxation- SC/ST- 5 years and OBC- 3 years.
- The aspirant must have passed 12th or any equivalent exam with first or second division from recognized Board or University.
- For applying for the SCRA exam the candidate must be physically fit.
Written Examination:-
The written examination includes three papers.

- The question booklet consists of objective type questions only.
- The question paper is in English only.
- The use of calculators and mathematical tables are not allowed.

Shortlisted govt job aspirants will be called for the personality test/ interview. This round carries 200 marks. The questions based on general interest are asked to assess the suitability of candidates as probationary officers.
