IBPS PO Exam 2021
The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection has released the notification of Online examination (Preliminary and Main) for the next Common Recruitment Process for selection of personnel for Probationary Officer/ Management Trainee posts in the Participating Banks is tentatively scheduled in December 2021/ January 2022. IBPS conducts PO Exam for the recruitment of Probationary Officer/ Management Trainee in the public sector banks. Those who clear the stages of the exam are shortlisted for the provisional allotment to one of the participating banks.
The candidates are allotted banks on the basis of final vacancies in participating banks and merit-cum-preference. An eligible candidate who wishes to join any participating organization as a Probationary Officer/ Management Trainee or in a similar post is required to register for the Common Recruitment Process (CRP-PO/MT).

IBPS Probationary Officer 2021 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification – A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. The candidates must possess a valid Mark-sheet/ Degree Certificate that they are graduates of on the day they register and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.
Age Limit – Candidates having age between 20 to 30 years are eligible to apply for the exam. Relaxation of upper age limit is given to the following category candidates as per the government rules:-

IBPS PO Exam 2021 Exam Pattern
Before starting preparation for the exam, you must understand and familiarize yourself with the latest IBPS PO Examination 2020, Exam pattern and syllabus. The examination will be two-tier i.e. the Online Examination will be held in two phases:-

Preliminary Examination:- The Preliminary examination, the time allowed and the maximum marks allotted to each subject will be as follows:-

Penalty for Wrong Answers (Applicable to both – Online Preliminary and Online Main examination):- There will be a penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty to arrive at a corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.
IBPS PO/MT Interview:- Candidates who have been shortlisted in the Online Main examination for CRP- PO/MT IX will subsequently be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Participating Organisations and coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State/ UT with the help of IBPS. Interviews will be conducted at select centres. The total marks allotted for the Interview are 100. The centre, address of the venue, time & date of the Interview will be informed to the shortlisted candidates in the call letter.

How to Apply for IBPS PO 2021
Eligible candidates who are fulfilling all requisite conditions can apply online from 20-10-2021 to 10-11-2021. There is no other mode to send applications offline. Candidates applying online must ensure the particulars required and keep ready with them while filling applications.
Here are some pre-requisites scanned items for applying online:-
(i) Photograph (4.5cm × 3.5cm)
(ii) Signature
(iii) Left thumb impression (If a candidate does not have a left thumb, he/she may use his/ her right thumb. If both thumbs are missing, the impression of one of the fingers of the left hand starting from the forefinger should be taken. If there are no fingers on the left hand, the impression of one of the fingers of the right hand starting from the forefinger should be taken. If no fingers are available, the impression of the left toe may be taken. In all such cases where the left thumb impression is not uploaded, the candidate should specify in the uploaded document the name of the finger and the specification of left/right hand or toe).
(iv) a handwritten declaration (In case of candidates who cannot write may get the text of declaration typed and put their left-hand thumb impression below the typed declaration and upload the document as per specifications).
Important Points to Remember:-
- Ensuring that all these scanned documents adhere to the required specifications.
- Signature in CAPITAL LETTERS will not be accepted.
- The left thumb impression should be properly scanned and not smudged
- The text for the handwritten declaration is as follows – “I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”
- The above-mentioned handwritten declaration has to be in the candidate’s handwriting and in English only. If it is written by anybody else or in any other language, the application will be considered as invalid.
- Keep the necessary details/documents ready to make Online Payment of the requisite application fee/ intimation charges
- Have a valid personal email ID, which should be kept active till the declaration of results of this round of CRP.
IBPS may send intimation to download call letters for the Examination etc. through the registered e-mail ID. Under no circumstances, a candidate should share with/mention e-mail ID to/ of any other person. In case a candidate does not have a valid personal e-mail ID, he/she should create his/her new e-mail ID before applying on-line and must maintain that email account.
IBPS PO/ MT 2021 Application Fees
Candidates should make the payment of requisite fees/ intimation charges through Debit Cards/ Credit Cards/ Internet Banking/ IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets. Category-wise application fees and intimation charges are given below:-
- Rs. 175/- for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates
- Rs. 850/- for all others
IBPS PO Pre-Examination Training
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, for the safety of the candidates, PET during this period may not be held.
The Nodal Banks/ Participating Organizations arranges Pre-Examination Training to a limited number of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes/ Minority Communities at certain centres. All eligible candidates who opt for and wish to avail of Pre-Exam Training should fill in the relevant column in the Online Application. Training will be imparted free of cost but all other expenses regarding, travelling, boarding, lodging etc. will have to be borne by the candidates.

IBPS PO Provisional Allotment
On completion of the interview process, depending on the vacancies to be filled in during the financial year 2022-23 based on the business needs of the Participating Banks and as reported to IBPS, candidates shortlisted will be provisionally allotted to one of the Participating Banks, based on merit-cum-preference keeping in view the spirit of Govt.

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is an autonomous body that conducts the recruitment of young graduates in public sector banks.
