Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship was established in the year 1993 in Guwahati as an autonomous organization by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. IIE provides training, research, and consultancy activities in Small and Micro Enterprises and pays special attention to entrepreneurship development. The institute has been transferred to the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship on 22nd May 2015.
