Gujarat Council on Science and Technology was constituted in September 1986 to play a vital role in promoting the use of Science and Technology in the development process of the State. The Science & Technology Council was constituted with a view to developing technologies appropriate to and in harmony with present conditions. The Council is an autonomous body registered under the Societies Registration Act from 1st February 2000 and working under Department of Science & Technology. Hon’ble Minister of Education is the Chairman of the Council. The Administration and Management affairs of the State Council is inducted by the Governing Board.
