Goa Medical College and Hospital was established by the Portuguese in the year 1842. Goa Medical College is one of the oldest medical colleges and we have recently increased undergraduate and postgraduate seats at the institute. GMC has presently 1000 beds, whereas 80 bedded TB and Chest Disease Hospital functions from St.Inez, Panaji and 20 bedded Rural Health and Training Centre is situated in Mandur.
