SSC Exams – SSC Recruitment – New SSC Job Notifications

Earlier known as the Subordinate Services Commission, Staff Selection Commission is an organization that recruits candidates for various Indian government departments and for its subordinate offices. In India, SSC provides more than 75% of government jobs. The SSC headquarters is located in New Delhi. The seven Regional Offices are in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Allahabad, Guwahati, Bangalore, Kolkata. In addition, two sub-regional offices are at Raipur and Chandigarh. The Regional and Sub-Regional Offices are established for conducting exams smoothly.

The topmost function of the SSC is to conduct examinations and interviews for the recruitment under Group “B”, non-technical Group “C” and Group “D” posts for various Indian Government Ministries and Departments. The SSC is not only responsible for recruitment for states, but it also assists the central govt. Job Opportunities through SSC Exams – Eligibility Criteria – Educational Qualification

SSC CGL Exam:- SSC conducts Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Exam for filling up Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ posts such as Assistant Audit Officer, Assistant Accounts Officer, Inspector, Accountant, Auditor, and many others in various Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations of the Govt. of India.

  • Educational Qualification:- The minimum educational qualification required for SSC CGL Exam is Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university or equivalent. For some posts such as Assistant Audit Officer, Assistant Accounts Officer, and Junior Statistical Officer, CA/ CS/ M.Com/ MBS/ MBA/ MBE is preferred.
  • Age Limit:- Candidates having age between 18 to 32 are eligible to apply for the exam. Age relaxation is given to the candidates as per the government rules.

SSC CHSL Exam:- SSC conducts Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Exam for the recruitment to the posts of Lower Division Clerk (SSC LDC) / Junior Secretarial Assistant, Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant, Data Entry Operator and Data Entry Operator Grade A in Government Departments.

  • Educational Qualification:- The minimum educational qualification required for the SSC CHSL Exam is 12th or equivalent from a recognized board or university. Only those candidates who passed in 12th in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject can apply for the post of Data Entry Operator in the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG).
  • Age Limit:- Candidates having age between 18 to 27 are eligible to apply for the exam. Age relaxation is given to the candidates as per the government rules.

SSC Steno Exam:- SSC conducts Stenographers (Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’)Exam for the recruitment to the posts of Stenographer Grade’C’ (Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted) and Stenographer Grade ‘D’ (Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted) in Ministries/ Departments of Central Government.

  • Educational Qualification:- The minimum educational qualification required for SSC Steno Exam is 12th or equivalent from a recognized board or university.
  • Age Limit:- Candidates having age between 18 to 27 are eligible to apply for the exam. Age relaxation is given to the candidates as per the government rules.

SSC JE Exam:- SSC conducts Junior Engineer Exam for the recruitment of Junior Engineers, Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted posts in Government Organizations.

  • Educational Qualification:- To apply for SSC Junior Engineer Exam, candidates must have a Diploma or Degree in Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering.
  • Age Limit:- Candidates having age between 18 to 32 are eligible to apply for the exam. Age relaxation is given to the candidates as per the government rules.

SSC GD-Constable Exam:- SSC Conducts Constables (GD) and Rifleman (GD) Exam for recruitment to the posts of Constable in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Secretariat Security Force (SSF) and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles.

  • Educational Qualification:- Candidates must be Matriculation or 10th class pass from a recognized Board/ University to apply for SSC Constable GD Exam.
  • Age Limit:- Candidates having age between 18 to 23 are eligible to apply for the exam. Age relaxation is given to the candidates as per the government rules.

SSC MTS Exam:- SSC conducts Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) Exam for the recruitment to the posts of Multi Tasking Staff, a Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post in various Central Government Ministries/ Departments/ Offices in different States and Union Territories.

  • Educational Qualification:- Candidates must have passed Matriculation Examinations or equivalent from a recognized board to apply for SSC MTS Exam.
  • Age Limit:- Candidates having age between 18 to 25 are eligible to apply for the exam. Age relaxation is given to the candidates as per the government rules.

Apart from the above-mentioned exams, SSC also conducts Departmental Exams for promotion from Group D to Lower Division Clerk, Lower Division Clerk to Upper Division Clerk, and Stenographer Grade D To Grade C.

Application Process for SSC Exams – SSC Online Registration

All desirous candidates can apply for these exams by the SSC Online Registration Portal. Before applying, candidates must ensure their eligibility and follow the instructions carefully. After ensuring eligibility, candidates should fill the SSC Registration Form. Candidates can get the SSC Apply Online link from our portal. After the registration, candidates will be provided a registration id and password on their given email ids and mobile numbers.

Furthermore, they will be required to upload a scanned photograph and signature as per the specifications given in the respective advertisement. After that, candidates should fill the SSC Online Application Form. After filling out an SSC Online Form, application fees also need to be paid online. SSC Exam Pattern – Selection Procedure – SSC Syllabus

The SSC Exams are conducted generally into 2-3 Tiers depending on the nature of the exam. The Computer-Based Exam can be both objective and descriptive in nature. For some posts, Skill Test/ Computer Proficiency Test/ Typing Test/ Physical Efficiency Test is also conducted. The merit list of the selected candidates is prepared on the basis of marks obtained in all the Tiers.
