Junior Engineerexamination is a open competitive recruitment examconducted under the supreme authorization of the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). This exam is computer based written test which is conducted to recruit Engineers under various disciplines like Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quality Assurance. SSC Junior Engineer Examination is conducted on all India level.

SSC conducts the JE examination in two stages i.e objective type paper and conventional type paper. It is vital for Sarkari Naukriseekers to clear both the rounds.

Age:- The candidate must be an Indian citizen. The candidate should be in between the age of 27 to 32 years. Age relaxation will be given as per the government rules & regulations.

Educational Qualification:- Candidates seeking for SSC Jobs must have Graduate degree or three years Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering from a recognized university. Candidates with two years experience in Planning, Execution and Maintenance of Engineering Works will be given extra advantage.

SSC JE Application:- Candidates have to send the application through online mode. Online registration process will be done through the official site i.e http://ssconline.nic.in. The registration will be done in two parts, after completion of one part (Registration Part), candidates will be eligible to enter into the second part ( Apply Part). The general/ OBC category has to pay Rs 100/- through online mode/ SBI challan whereas SC/ ST/ PH/ ExS category are exempted from payment of fee.

SSC JE Admit Cards:- SSC will not send admit card by the post therefore candidates have to download the admit card online, from official regional website of SSC. It is compulsory to bring the admit card to the exam centre, otherwise candidates will not be allowed to enter into the exam centre premises.

Selection Procedure:- The selection process of candidates for this SSC Recruitment will be based on competitive examination. Candidates shortlisted in Paper -I will only be allowed to sit in Paper-II .

SSC JE Examination Pattern:- The exam shall be in objective & conventional mode containing multiple choice type questions. Major sections are General Intelligence, General Awareness, General Engineering respectively. The Examination will be conducted in two parts:-

Part-I:- It is an objective type test which consist of 3 levels given below and negative marking of 0.25 is applicable.

Paper-1:- General Intelligence & Reasoning – 50 Marks
Paper-2:- General Awareness – 50 Marks
Paper-3:- General Engineering – 100 Marks

Part-II:- It is a coventional type test consist of 300 marks. It includes general engineering subjects. However, this part will be conducted only for those candidates, who have qualified the first level.
