Central Board of Secondary Organization (CBSE) had organized its UGC NET 2018 July Exam on 8th July 2018 on behalf of University Grants Commission. The UGC NET Exam was comprised of two papers covering objective type questions and held in 84 subjects at 91 selected Cities of Exam spread across the country.
According to the official notification, the captured images of response sheets (OMR Sheets) of the candidates appeared in the exam and UGC NET Answer Keys of all the papers will be displayed on the website cbsenet.nic.in during the fourth week of August 2018.
A total number of 11,48,235 candidates, largest number so far, were registered for UGC NET July Exam. CBSE said in a statement that the examination has been conducted successfully and smoothly at all the examination centers.
As per the UGC policy, the number of candidates to be qualified for Eligibility for Assistant Professor shall be equal to 6% of the candidates appeared in both the papers of NET. In order to be considered for Both Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor the candidate must have appeared in both the papers and secured at least 40% aggregate marks in both the papers taken together for General category candidates and at least 35% aggregate marks for all candidates belonging to the reserved categories and Transgenders.
Besides this, HRD Ministry announced the next schedule of UGC NET which will be conducted under the newly formed National Testing Agency (NTA) in December. NTA will Conduct its First Exam UGC NET 2018 in December.
