Indian National Science Academy (INSA) was formed in 1935 with the objective to promote science in India, invites applications from Indian citizens for the awards of INSA Visiting Fellowship for conducting advanced research or undergoing specialized training at Indian Research Institutes/ Laboratories. These Fellowships will be granted on a competitive basis to the scientists/ faculty for the furtherance of their research and/ or research capabilities for carrying out collaborative research, undergoing training in specific techniques, or utilizing facilities not available in their own institutions. The Fellowship period varies from one month to six months.
The candidate should be a Scientist/ Faculty in any R&D organization including Universities or Affiliated Colleges in India. The applicants would be required to provide a concise account of their plan of work/ study besides their bio-data highlighting their achievements. Applicants should not have availed of INSA Visiting Fellowship in the last year.
During the fellowship Programme, awardees will be paid a consolidated amount of Rs.30,000/- (maximum) per month to cover their expenses related to boarding, lodging, travel, etc.
Applicants should submit 02 sets of applications on the prescribed application form through the proper channel to the Deputy Executive Director-I (Scientific), Indian National Science Academy, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, New Delhi – 110002.
