Indian Air Force AFCAT Eligibility, Exam Pattern and Syllabus

Flying Branch | (a) Minimum of 50% marks each in Maths & Physics at 10+2 level. (b) Graduates (Three Year Course) in any discipline from a recognised University who have attained a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent OR B.E/B.Tech (Four Year Course) from a recognised university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent. (c) Cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognised University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent. |
Ground Duty (Non-technical) Branch | (a) Administration and Logistics:- Passed 10+2 and Graduate Degree (Minimum three years degree course) in any discipline from a recognised university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent or cleared section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognised university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent. IAF AFCAT 2022 Exam Pattern
Before starting preparation for the exam, you must understand and familiarize yourself with the latest Indian Air Force AFCAT pattern and syllabus. The Commission will conduct the exam in three stages namely Written examination, SSB Test and Medical Exam. The detailed exam pattern is given below:-
Written Exam Pattern:-The AFCAT Objective Type Question Paper will have 100 questions and the duration is 2 hours. This Exam contains General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability, Reasoning and Military Aptitude. The EKT Question Paper will have 50 questions and the duration is 45 minutes.
AFSB Interview:- AFSB interview stands for Air Force Selection Board Interview. AFSB interview is divided into two stages:-
Stage-I:-
(i) Officer Intelligence rating Test.
(ii) Picture perception and Discussion Test.
Stage-II:-
(i) Psychological Tests
(ii) Group Tests (interactive indoor and outdoor activities)
(iii) Interview (Personal conversation)
Medical Exam:- Merit List is compiled on the basis of your performance in the written test and AFSB interview, subject to being medically fit.

IAF AFCAT Admit Card 2022
Appearing candidates can download the admit card for the Indian Air Force AFCAT 2022 through the IAF Admit Cards Page by entering registration id/ roll number and date of birth. The commission will release admit card for the exam in mid-March.
