Every year, the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CGVYAPAM or CGPEB) conducts exams at the state level to recruit eligible candidates for various posts in different schools, universities, and colleges under the Chhattisgarh Government. Job Opportunities through CGPEB Exams – Eligibility Criteria
State Eligibility Test (SET):- Chhattisgarh State Eligibility Test (CG SET) is held by the Chhattisgarh Profesional Examination Board to check the eligibility of the candidates for the posts of Assistant Professor, Librarian, and Sports Officer in the Colleges and Assistant Professor, Assistant Librarian and Assistant Director (Physical Education) in Universities of Chhattisgarh state. The test is conducted for 19 subjects.
Eligibility Criteria – To appear in the SET, candidates must have a Postgraduate Degree in the subject for which they want to apply. Candidates must have secured at least 55% marks in postgraduation. Relaxation in minimum marks will be given to the reserved categories.
Teacher Eligibility Test (TET):- Chhattisgarh Teacher Eligibility Test (CG TET) is held by the Chhattisgarh Profesional Examination Board to check the eligibility of the candidates for the post of Teacher for Class 1 to 8 in Schools of Chhattisgarh state. The test is conducted for 19 subjects. The certificate obtained after clearing the test will be valid for 07 years from the date of issue.
Eligibility Criteria – To apply for Teacher post for Class 1 to 5 (Primary Level), candidates must have 12th pass certificate + D.El.Ed/ B.El.Ed/ D.Ed (Special Education) OR Graduate Degree + D.El.Ed. To apply for Teacher post for Class 6 to 8 (Upper Primary Level), candidates must have Graduate Degree + D.El.Ed/ B.Ed/ B.Ed (Special Education) OR 12th pass certificate + B.El.Ed/ B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
Application Process for CGVYAPAM Exams – Apply Online
Candidates can apply for all the CGVYAPAM Exams through online mode only. They will have to take out the print out of Image Format and paste an image on the space given. Then write name and signature and put left thumb impression on respective spaces. Save the paper after scanning in JPEG format and then upload it while applying online. Application Fees also need to be paid online. Once the application fees submission is done, a Registration ID Number will be generated and displayed on the screen. CGPEB Exam Pattern – Selection Procedure – Latest Updates
There will be two question papers in CG SET. Paper-I will be the same for all the candidates. Paper-II will be based on the subject chosen by the candidate. There will be 50 questions in Paper-I and 1 hour will be given to the candidates to attempt the paper. In Paper-II, a total of 100 questions will be there and 2 hours will be given to the candidates. The questions in both papers will be objective in nature.
In CG TET, there will be two papers. The candidates who will qualify the first paper will be eligible to teach in Classes 1 to 5 and the candidates who will qualify the second paper will be eligible to teach in Class 6 to 8. Candidates intend to be a teacher for both Classes 1 to 5 and Classes 6 to 8 will have to appear in both the papers. The questions in both the papers will be objective in nature. There will be 150 questions and 2.5 Hours will be given to the candidates to attempt the paper.
